An award-winning composer and former elementary/middle school choir director, Genny has been teaching private piano lessons since 1994 and private voice lessons since 2002. She attended Grand Canyon University on full music scholarship, graduating in 2003 with a degree in Music Education, Piano and Choral Emphasis, summa cum laude. She went on to become a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in 2008 through the Music Teachers National Association, a distinction earned by only a small percentage of private music teachers.

She has served as an organist for her church congregation since 1995 and has conducted both childrens' and adult choirs and orchestras. Some students have become music educators in school settings, as well as private piano and voice teachers. However, Genny prides herself on fostering a lifelong love of music that each student carries with them no matter what path they pursue upon graduation.
When she is not teaching, Genny enjoys performing with her husband, an accomplished tenor, high school choir director and member of the Grammy-winning Phoenix Chorale . She loves her family and has five children, three of whom are the inspiration for the name of Triplet Music Studio:
